Getting to know me
I come from humble beginnings in a small farm town, designing for the local newspaper for a few years. I then worked at a small print shop, learning everything from pagination to the printing process the “old-fashioned” way: shooting negatives in a dark room, handling printing plates, operating cutting and folding machines, and managing 1-color printing presses. My deep understanding of the printing process has served me well, as I know how to design items that work seamlessly with the machines that create them, ensuring they look their best and stand the test of time.
As my career advanced, I got into advertising and design within the invitation and stationery field, serving clients such as Target, Walmart, and Office Depot. I've also designed products in the craft industry, featured in Europe, Australia, and the Home Shopping Network. This experience greatly enhanced my skillset, enabling me to thrive in a highly competitive, deadline-oriented industry where creativity is key. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to deliver results.
Since 2009, I have proudly owned my own freelance business, Karina Rose Creative, LLC. In my current role, I manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. I create and oversee marketing materials, websites, and digital media for several non-profits that benefit greatly from my work. I excel in logo design and enjoy crafting unique brand identities tailored to each business I partner with. Technical design and organization is an area I thrive in. One of my clients who is in the generator industry relies on me to ensure that every piece of literature is smartly designed and accurate, maximizing information distribution in a highly competitive field.
Throughout my career, I have developed and maintained numerous websites, with proficiency in platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress. I have experience customizing marketing strategies and visual identities to meet the specific needs of clients across a wide range of sectors—from finance and food to spas and schools.
